IM GOING VEGAN: day 14

Very good day. Started early with a 3 hour gym visit:

Workout: burned 1600 calories... wowzzzzeeerrrsss
1 mile treadmill
1 mile stairmaster
500 meters rowing
P90x- kenpo & ab ripper
TRX

Meals:
1 slice wheat bread, 2 tbsp peanut butter
2 vegan ribs, 1 cup cauliflower
Wildcat sushi w/tofu
Some pad thai w/tofu
Miso soup
3 shots

Water: 128oz woooohoooooo

Did some makeup shopping, trying to figure out this contouring & bought a dark lipstick - mahagony by nyc .. I'm loving it! This side pony is giving me totes Yonce!

Date night with the hubby. It was a long time coming and so much fun. Went to the K-States women basketball (they won) and we had some Wildcat spirit. Had tofu "sushi" & he had beef pho. Later we walked around the "ville" where all the college students hang & I had a firebomb (cinnamon & whiskey) it cleared up my cough for a few minutes.

Thrilling summer. OOTD

Update: Crochet Braids with Marley Hair

The stylist put these on the hair. It looked nice, but the next day I found several white flakes. 

Now imagine this lighter color all over my head! hot mess!!!

If you are in the Fort Riley, KS area or attend Kansas State University, definitely check out Attention Please Hair Salon.

The lady who did my hair was NOT heavy handed, she listened to me, and was able to handle my being High Maintenance because she was natural herself, she didn't give me the side eye when I kept spritzing my hair/scalp with water and had a wide tooth comb.

I was charged $90 to get my hair done.

I tipped $10. 

I paid $6 for the hair. I used 2 packs.

It took less than 4 hours. 

The lady braided my hair in a circle with Kanekalon hair.

Hair Used:

Ya Man! Afro Kinky Marley Braid

100% Kanekalon fiber

Color: M1B/33

-- The color in the pack looks dark...but in really good lighting, its a lighter brown with golden lights. Next time I'm getting 1B

This is the second day of wearing the hair. I've already slept on it.. The hair grows ya'll .. and don't let the wind touch it cuz than its ov-ah haha

Hey Kids,

Today I woke up with the urge to discard my sweats and hoodies. I miss my street fashion. This afternoon I attended a random "meet & greet" at Starbucks. The "meet & greet" was so Army Wives could get to know each other. Most of the wives knew each other via facebook, and I knew some through the Wine Parties I've  attended since arriving in Kansas. It was an okay event. Nothing spectacular. Like at all. I only stayed for 1.5 hours, than got popeyes with a wife I met there. Popeyes was not a good idea. 800 frickin calories!!! I feel like there is a stone in my belly.

So I'm off to Total Body X: I haven't worked out in 2 days so I know I will be hurting!! :)

2011 Korea Heritage Fashion Show

As you all know, I recently blogged about possibly attending the 2011 Korean Heritage Fashion Show. I did and it was Amazing! My first actual fashion show that didn't revolve around University life (models/production/budgets). I also posted about being VIP, and was excited about that. However once I got there I realized what VIP actually meant: 

General admission is all standing, while seats by the runway are all, by the planners’ definition, VIP. So I'm super excited that one of my newly acquired Facebook friends, posted about the magazine Yahae! and it's generous offer to their readers; for VIP status. Because it was cold, I had on 5' stilettos (which I traded in for flats), and I had on shorts!

I've been having the strangest obsession and I think I will cry if I can't make it come true. I need to shop. Even its just for a blazer, belt, boots, winter coat, statement necklace, winter boots, wigs, scarves, fabric for turbans.. umm are you all getting this?? Cuz I've been dreaming this! I've been salivating because of this.. not really but you get the point.

So why haven't I blogged in ages? Shoot why haven't I updated my Youtube account?? Only because I'm NOT feeling the creative juices. But now I'm feeling something and its all about Fashion.. maybe its cuz I'm finally getting out of a social, friendless, jobless rut... IDC .. all I know is that I want to be surrounded by the Fashion world.

I've been all over Tumblr (not posting of course) but following anything dealing with artistic expression. I love Tumblr! It's just such a great way to express yourself.

So tomorrow morning, I'm forsaking the Gym to go Thrifting. ok maybe I will visit the gym for an hour and than go Thrifting.. I'm in search of a blazer.. more than likely it'll be a men's blazer and I'll try to jazz it up. I can't sew so it will be interesting..

ps. I was contemplative but now I'm for sure! Attending this Korean Heritage Fashion Show, because my gut instinct tells me I'll regret it if I don't! It's free and on a Sunday so, why the heck not?! only question is.. what will I wear!!! I hope I can get on the YAHAE VIP list, cuz I'm breaking out the stilettos!

A La Chic: South Korea Street Fashion

Hey Friends-- When I decided to move to Germany, I checked out the underlying fashion trends and I was so impressed that I incorporated it into my daily wear.
